Welcome to “On The Rocks.” This spacious 4 bedroom w/ kid's bonus room/3.5 bath home has tons of room for the entire family. Centrally-located 0.7 miles from Bryce Resort's lodge, ski/bike lifts, and golf pro shop, this home offers easy access to the Resort's amenities but located on a wooded lot along a quiet street. Covered porches in front and back encourage lounging in any weather, while the fire pit calls for you in the evenings. Access to the home includes two steps up to entry level from the flat driveway. If you need extra provisions, the Basye Community Store is a short 2 mile drive.

There are many spaces to make great memories throughout the property. Several custom furniture elements are made from reclaimed wood by local artisan Ed Ludwig. Furniture specifically built for the spaces add to the character of the home. Open floor plan with defined spaces are great for simultaneous intimate conversations. Plenty of comfy rooms and beds for reflection, rest and relaxation.

FEATURES & AMENITIES:
Most of the home's main floor is open, including the living room, kitchen, dining area, and sitting area. The gas log fireplace adds ambiance when watching movies or the weekend's big game. A large smart TV is located in an enclosed cabinet above the fireplace. This home's two covered decks are both accessible from the main room. The kitchen pops with white cabinets, countertops and appliances. The movable kitchen island/bar doubles as an eat-at table for the large front window seat. The kitchen includes basic cookware, tableware, and a basket-style drip coffee maker (filters provided, but please bring your favorite grind). The dining area seats six at the table and another four at the window seat island bar. A half-bathroom serves the great room and doubles as the home's laundry room with full-size washer & dryer. The main floor also hosts the primary bedroom with king bed and full en-suite bathroom. Upstairs offers a cozy kid's bonus area/play room with two twin bunk beds, a twin trundle, a full bathroom, and a smart TV for kid's movie nights, plus three other bedrooms (one full, two twins, and one queen) all with easy access to the full hallway bathroom. Sleeps up to 13 comfortably.

The mountain home is supplied with bedding (pillows, bedspreads, blankets), fresh bed linens, one towel set per max occupants, one travel-size bar soap per max occupants, two rolls toilet paper per bathroom, two dishwasher tabs, five trash bags, one bath trash bag per bathroom, one paper towel roll, one kitchen dish towel, one travel-size dish soap, and one scrubby pad. We encourage guests with large groups, or who are staying several nights, or who are heavy users of consumable supplies to bring extra supplies or purchase them at the local Basye Community Store.

The living room and kid's bonus room have smart TVs that allow guests to log into popular streaming apps. WiFi internet is provided by 300+mbps cable modem, which is plenty for working, video conferencing, web browsing, and streaming on many devices simultaneously.

This is a Self-Check-In unit. You'll receive check-in instructions seven days prior to arrival (or immediately if booking within seven days) that include the property's address, driving directions, a unique Key Code, WiFi instructions, and other important information.

This property has a gas grill and a fire pit. Firewood is provided from late fall through early spring. Smoking is only permitted around the fire pit. Please leave zero trace of smoking items.

Guests should enjoy the entire home except for a few locked owners closets, cabinets, etc.

Trash must be bagged and placed inside the two curbside recepticals; otherwise local services won't collect it and invite unwelcome animals.

Three Ring cameras are outside the home, views shown in photos. Smoking is only permitted around the fire pit. Guest should leave zero trace of smoking.

Guests have unlimited access to the Bryce Mountain Escapes pool at our reception office (2565 Orkney Grade). The Bryce Resort pool is reserved for Bryce Resort member use only. See pictures of our pool in the photo gallery . Our pool is private, rarely crowded, and open 9am-5pm, Monday through Saturday between Memorial Day and Labor Day.

Quiet hours after 10:00 pm are strongly enforced by the local security and police.

Bryce Resort offers many activities and features throughout the year, including snow skiing/boarding, snow tubing, golf, Lake Laura swimming, canoeing, paddle boarding, paddle boating, and kayaking, and a thrill-filled lift-accessed mountain bike park. Bryce Resort is also the perfect launch point for many other adventures in the northern Shenandoah Valley, including hiking, fishing, hot air ballooning, visiting wineries & breweries, exploring caverns, antiquing, enjoying the Shenandoah Valley Music Festival on summer Saturdays in nearby Orkney Springs, and so much more.

Located in Basye, this vacation home is in a rural area and in the mountains. Meems Bottom Covered Bridge and Edinburg Mill Museum are local landmarks, and some of the area's attractions include Mt Jackson Thrift & Gift and Showalter Orchard & Greenhouse. Consider Yellow Barn at Shenandoah Caverns for a night out or Lost River Artisans Cooperative if you're traveling with kids. Enjoy the area's slopes with snowboarding and skiing, and don't miss out on the ice skating.
