Comfort and coziness is the name of the game at this lovely two-bedroom home, set into a hillside and boasting views of Grandfather Mountain, courtesy of the picture windows in the living room. Make a cup of coffee and start the day with an even better view of the mountains from your large front deck. If it's a chilly morning, turn on the fire table as you relax in one of the Adirondack chairs. Head back inside when it's time to make breakfast and take advantage of the well-equipped kitchen to prep something delicious. You've got stainless steel appliances, including a five-burner stove, ample counters, and all the gadgets you need to prep everything from quiche to cereal. Eat together in the dining room, which seats eight, and then head out to explore.
When you return, turn on that gas fireplace and settle into one of the sofas in the living room to stream your favorite shows or pop in a DVD. Not done with the outdoors yet? Grab a book and one of the rocking chairs on the deck to read until night falls. Or gather together around the fire table and end the day as you began, enjoying that fantastic view of Grandfather Mountain.
