Big Bamboo’s Boutique Villa & Waterfront Playground is more than an accommodation, it is an inclusive out-island experience for one group at a time! All you need is your pantry provisions, and Big Bamboo provides a shopping service to ensure your food and beverages are stocked at the Boutique Villa upon your arrival.

The exclusive Big Bamboo Villa has 4 bedrooms & 3 bathrooms, and is an exquisite two level building constructed on pilings, facing due North and overlooking the aquamarine tidal waters of panoramic Fresh Creek. Major features of our extraordinary island home are its custom design, collection of Bahamian fine art, local craft exhibits, hand-made cabinetry, blissful outdoor views from virtually every room, and creature comforts of island living.

Our "Bahama Room" is a great room, outfitted with a 65 inch flat-screen smart television with satellite service. It flows into a professional kitchen with full island seating, a cocktail bar with unlimited filtered drinking water and delightful dining area defined by a hand crafted Brazilian hardwood table.

Other architectural and decorative features such as vaulted ceilings with stunning fir beams, knotty cypress planks, recessed lighting, overhead Hunter fans, stylish lounge chairs and rattan sofas, complete the grandeur of this gathering space. French doors introduce infinite natural light, and opens to a 360 degree wrap around veranda where adirondack chairs offer rest to the weary, along with a tropical balmy breeze & swinging bamboo.

The interior design is customized with board and batten walls, ship panel chair rails, cedar trim and pocket doors. The walls are pleasingly colorful to reflect the spirit of the islands. Big Bamboo was envisioned to provide all modern conveniences in an remote island environment.

The Villa comes equipped with large capacity front-loading washer and dryer, a 450 pound daily capacity ice machine, unlimited hot water, as well as a pump house with dual soft well water reverse osmosis system and diesel powered generator, to sustain current during frequent island power outages.

Other features to deliver comfort to our guests, include zoned air-conditioning systems, built in surround sound stereo and speaker system both inside the villa and outside veranda, and high speed internet across the two acre estate.

Sleeping quarters at the island boutique villa are spread over two glorious floors of the spacious dwelling, and consist of four captivating themed bedrooms. Each room has smart TVs and sound bars, with high speed internet. The "Pilots Lounge" is the Big Bamboo music, game, DVD and book library, with a double futon to sleep additional guests.

The "Dolphin Room" located on the upper floor, is a master suite with queen size sleigh bed, adjoining a private bath with granite dual sinks, multi-head rain shower and a whirlpool heated spa tub. The villa's split design leads to the "Tuna Room", a cozy oasis with canopy queen size bed, and views of Fresh Creek waterfront through a vista of lush bamboo and palm trees. Next door, is the "Sailfish Room" with a cottage style queen bed that overlooks an exotic fruit grove and flower gardens. Both the Tuna and Sailfish rooms share a spacious spa quality bathroom with a large multi-head rain shower and granite sink, and have cedar lined closets, colorful linens and glass doors which access exterior verandas.

“Conch Crawl" is the only sleeping room situated on the lower level, connected by a spiral staircase. The room has two twin beds and a private bathroom with a cabana shower. It also has ground floor exits to the south-side gardens, north-side waterfront, and a fully screened ""Cigar Lounge" with a smart television.

Our Boutique Villa is connected to earth and sky by a cat-walk which leads to the "Chubby Mermaid", a bamboo shaded roof-top lounge. It is marvelous for private sun-bathing by day and celestial star-gazing at night. Down the "Chubby Mermaid" stairs, guests are guided towards a creek-side fresh waterfall pool, encompassed by tropical palms & serene surroundings.

Guests at Big Bamboo can stroll through our fruit groves to discover and taste organically raised Sapodillas, Carambolas, Genips, Cherries, Mangoes, Longans, Jujus, Lemons, Breadfruits, Custard Apples, Figs, Guavas, Avocados, Hog Plums and more. Big Bamboo’s chickens provide organic brown eggs daily.

Fresh Creek channels from the ocean, into a beautiful pristine tidal creek that becomes the major attractions for our guests throughout their stay. Big Bamboo's 60 foot T-dock provides a playground for fun and adventure, as well as a covered sanctuary for rest and relaxation. The water-sport loading docks provide easy access for paddle boarding, kayaking, floating loungers and creek snorkeling.

Our "Tiki Beach Bar & Kitchen" built near soft sand under swaying coconut palms, protects sun bathers from UV-Rays. An in-water Tiki Hut creates an opportunity for intimacy with an abundance of marine life, where guests can sit in the water and feed our resident sting rays and pufferfish population.

Big Bamboo has been established with forethought in capturing the magnificent sun sets over Fresh Creek, where the sun meets the water with brilliant colors and spectacular reflections. Whether guests are having sundown cocktails at the in-water Tiki Hut, swimming in the creek-side pool, or rocking in Adirondack chairs on the villa veranda, sunsets at Big Bamboo are extravagant sights to behold.

Located in Andros Town, this villa is in a rural area and on the beach.
