Traveller's rest is a unique private estate that sits on the bay side of the island on the water. A large dock that can accommodate up to two 100' yachts with fish cleaning table, covered cabana and plenty of sitting space to enjoy the most amazing water and marine life the bahamas has to offer. This estate property is fully gated and has one of the most manicured tropical garden and yard on Harbour Island. The entire property pool are and dock have high speed Wi-Fi coverage provided by Star Link.
The estate is south of Dunmore town on the bay yet a short walk to the world famous Pink Sand beach with a private beach access.
The estate is situated back from the water to accommodate a large yard with an oversized swimming pool, large covered pool cabana, as well as, a large pool bath with air conditioning.
The main upstairs level boasts a large vaulted post and beam ceiling great room, with an oversized kitchen and island bar. Just off the kitchen is a full wet bar with ice maker, refrigerator and wine chiller. The great room opens onto the front porch that faces west for incredible sun set views that no one has ever seen before, has a large dining table to accommodate the house guests and on the porch is a nice sitting area to relax with a cup of coffe in the morning or drinks in the evening. Off the great room is the master suite with French doors that open onto the large covered porch. The master bath features double vanity's, marble counter tops, walk in shower with rain head and shower head and a 6' soaking tub. The second suite is locate just forward of the kitchen features a large walk-in show with rain and shower head, marble countertops, crystal chandeliers, and large walk-in closet.
The first floor has another guest suite with on suite bathroom, two separate bunk rooms that share a full bathroom, full kitchen and sitting area with 65" tv. This floor features an oversized washer and dryer in the laundry room. The first floor porch has outdoor dining area, sitting area and ping pong table. The porch also has a flat top grill and large gas grill. This level steps down into one of the most manicured lush tropical yards Harbour Island has to show.
Located in Dunmore Town, this vacation home is on the waterfront. Dr. Albert Johnson Memorial and Glen Stewart Mansion are local landmarks, and the area's natural beauty can be seen at Pink Sand Beach and Lone Tree. Jet skiing and scuba diving offer great chances to get out on the surrounding water, or you can seek out an adventure with ecotours and horse riding nearby.
