The beautiful 4-acre property, recently remodeled, consists of a 3-bedroom main house with a detached guest cottage, both built around an extra-large 33-foot private pool. Miss Ruby is located on the prestigious Banks Road, the prime address in Governors Harbour, just 5 minutes by car from town and less than a 15 minute walk down the beach from famous Tippy's restaurant and bar.

Miss Ruby is a 3 to 5 minute walk (depending on your pace) from a miles-long pink-sand beach, usually deserted. This beach has a unique, totally-protected pool, perfect for small children, as well as a long stretch of postcard-perfect ocean beach. Miss Ruby features beautiful ocean views from the upper floor rooms and decks. Miss Ruby is surrounded by a lush garden planted with flowering bougainvillea and hibiscus, as well as coconut palms and other fruit trees.

Miss Ruby's two-story main house has 3 bedrooms and 3 baths. It features high ceilings, hardwood floors, and lots of sunlight. The first floor has large great room with living and dining areas, and a modern, fully equipped island kitchen with butcher block countertops and stainless steel appliances. There is also a guest bedroom on the first floor with a full bed and a full bath that is shared with the living area.

Upstairs features an extra-large king-bed master suite with ocean views, en-suite full bath, and an enormous ocean-view deck and wrap-around veranda. The detached guest cottage features 2 single beds and a full bed, a full bath, and a kitchen complete with refrigerator, range, sink, and coffee maker.

Amenities include super-fast and reliable STARLINK internet and WIFI, private pool, air conditioning, laundry room with washer and dryer, hi-fi stereo, cordless telephone, satellite TV and DVD player with USB and TV screen. Outside there is a gas grill and an outdoor table for dining beside the pool.

The town of Governors Harbour, the main town on the island, is just 5 minutes from the property by car. Governors Harbour has grocery stores, restaurants, liquor stores, two banks with ATMs, a bakery, gift shops, a dive shop, and a medical clinic. It has a nice little collection of 19th century homes and churches overlooking a picturesque harbor. You can buy fresh fish and lobster every afternoon from fisherman at the town dock. Friday night Fish Fry in Governors Harbour is a street/beach party that brings together all the tourists and locals with food, drink, and dancing in the street. You won't want to miss it.

Upscale beachfront restaurants in the area include Pascal's at Sky Beach Club (International cuisine with Bahamian influences), Tippy's (international and fusion), The Buccaneer (Bahamian cuisine with Caribbean-Chinese fusion), 1648 House, and The Rainbow Inn (famous for its steaks and seafood). The above all have live music one or more nights a week, so there is live entertainment somewhere nearby almost every night.
