Beach Dream is a luxurious beachfront house that was completely rebuilt with concrete walls, using ICF Construction (Insulated Concrete Forms) to be extra strong and quiet. The house was finished in June 2022, so it's still like new. The main level is the elevated upper level and offers incredible views from the large front deck and the wrap-around deck. There is a wall of windows in the great room and dining room, overlooking the Atlantic Ocean and the gorgeous pink/white sand beach that stretches for miles. It has 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms (3 king beds, 3 twin beds) with a fully-furnished gourmet kitchen, stainless steel appliances and filtered water throughout the house. A Lynx stainless steel propane gas grill is outside on the deck, waiting for your fresh catch! The house offers an open floor plan including an island with bar stools and a dining room table that seats 8, making Beach Dream perfect for family dinners and entertaining. --------------------
If you need more space....A separate apartment with a separate entrance called Beach Time is the lower level. It is 2 bedrooms and 2 baths (both are king suites) with a large gourmet kitchen and great room. The rate is $2,835 per week or $450 per night. It's easy to get Guana Cay...Once you arrive at the Marsh Harbour airport and clear customs, grab a taxi (very easy, they're waiting out front) about 10 minutes to the Guana ferry dock. The G&L Ferry runs a few times a day and it’s a short, 35 minute scenic ride to Guana Cay. -----------
About Great Guana Cay: Great Guana Cay is a barrier island in the Abaco chain of islands in the Bahamas. The third largest barrier reef sits just off shore, offering unlimited snorkeling and SCUBA diving opportunities. A gorgeous reef is right in front of the house that is perfect for snorkeling and is only a short swim away with an easy beach entry. The island has about 150 residents but there are quite a few second homeowners and visitors. Guana Cay is a beautiful tropical island with gorgeous beaches that are never crowded and the color of the water is unbelievable! It is secluded yet has all the necessities. -----------------
There are a few restaurants and bars, as well as a well-stocked grocery store and a liquor store. Just down the beach, World-famous Nipper’s Beach Bar and Grill has very good food and they are family-friendly with a swimming pool. It’s always fun and people come from all of the neighboring islands to visit, especially on Sunday afternoon for Sunday-FunDay. Nippers closes at 7:00pm each night, so any noise from there is not a problem. Grabber's Bar & Grill is fun, too and a great place to watch the beautiful Guana sunset. Kidd's Cove Bar & Grill has re-opened on Front Street on the harbour. Beach Dream is within walking distance to all the fun, but most guests rent a golf cart. -------------------
Pack your snorkel and dive gear…a spectacular reef is right off the beach in front of the house. Dive Guana offers full service PADI scuba diving and snorkeling trips. Dive Guana also has any gear you need...the water is very clear and the diving is gorgeous. If you would like to rent a boat during your vacation, we highly recommend the boats at Dive Guana. It’s conveniently located on Guana Cay and they rent nice 20ft. to 26ft. boats for fishing, diving or exploring and are reasonably priced. --------------------------
Bedroom Details: All of the bedrooms have been furnished with high thread-count sheets and bedding. The master bedroom has a king bed with French doors that open onto the front deck and gorgeous colors of the ocean. The master bath has double sinks with a shower tiled to the ceiling. The second master also has a king bed with its own entrance into the full bathroom with shower and can also be accessed from the hallway. The third bedroom has a king bed and the fourth bedroom has 2 bunk beds and a twin bed. The third bath is adjacent to the third and fourth bedrooms. It has a tub/shower that is also tiled to the ceiling. A Pack-n-Play is available if needed. -----------------------------
Rain water is held in tanks below the house. The water is filtered twice before it enters the house, so it’s tastes excellent out of any faucet. It’s filtered a third time through the icemaker and refrigerator water dispenser. The rain water has all of the natural minerals and it doesn’t have any chemicals, it’s the only water we drink when we're there. ----------------------
A washer and dryer are available for stays of a week or longer.
Restaurants and Shops on Great Guana Cay : World-famous Nipper’s Beach Bar and Grill is family-friendly with a swimming pool and consistently excellent food. It’s always fun and people come from all of the neighboring islands to visit, especially on Sunday afternoon for the weekly Pig Roast Party. Friday nights are also popular for Chicken-In-Da-Bag or Conch. Don’t forget Grabber’s for dinner and to watch the spectacular sunsets....and join visitors and second-homeowners on Wednesday night for Wing Night. Kidd's Cove Bar & Grill re-opened in June 2023, cooking up specials periodically. Orchid Bay Yacht Club & Marina offers a full-service marina. ----------------
Edmond Pinder, in addition to Dive Guana, also offers lobster spearing and snorkeling for conch with a shore lunch, as well as island hopping excursions, fishing, and private guide services in your boat or a rental boat. --------------------
