This beautiful log home is located just 7 minutes from uptown Athens but feels secluded in the countryside. Explore 18 acres of hiking trails and the swimming pond, or simply sit back and enjoy the view from your large wrap-around deck and picture windows. This custom built cabin is fully furnished with everything you could dream of and features hardwood floors, geothermal heating, wood burning stove and stylish furniture which make this charming retreat cozy as can be! The surrounding area is filled with outdoor recreation opportunities and lovely Appalachian landscape. The town itself brings the many cultural advantages of a university town - musical performances, the Dairy Barn
Regional Arts Center, loads of bike paths, an art cinema, museums and restaurants, etc.

We are retired professors in speech therapy and video production. We love nature and traveling. When we're not enjoying our fabulous deck, lush hiking trails and enormous pond, we're probably exploring the world and making our beautiful home available to you. We're enjoying spending more and more time in the Colorado Rockies where our daughter lives and where we once lived for 20 years.
Located in Athens, this vacation home is in the city center and on a river. Shade Winery and Fun Barn are worth checking out if an activity is on the agenda, while those wishing to experience the area's natural beauty can explore Strouds Run State Park and Waterloo State Wildlife Management Area. Hot Dog Museum and Hocking Valley Scenic Railway are also worth visiting. Be sure to check out the area's animals with activities such as game walks and birdwatching.
