Looking for a unique getaway- what could be more fun than a post & beam barn. While this barn never stored hay or animals it was built in 2000 for unique living complete with a massive fireplace (with propane insert for both ambiance and heat) high end finishes and even on suites in both bedrooms. While not on Lake Winnipesaukee, it is 3 mins literally to the heart of Alton Bay and the launch ramp onto the Big Lake and 3 minutes to Mount Major for a great hiking experience, 10 mins to Gunstock for skiing and other year round activities and 15 minutes to Meadowbrook. Located in Alton Bay, this vacation home is in the mountains and on a lake. Gunstock Mountain Resort and Ellacoya State Park are worth checking out if an activity is on the agenda, while those wishing to experience the area's natural beauty can explore Lake Winnipesaukee and Merrymeeting Marsh.
