Don’t know what to do with that enormous amount of photos on your phone? Check these apps that will help you organize your shoots in no time.

Google Photo’s Assistant (Free, iPhone, Android, Web)

Cloud synchronization: Yes
How it works: The mobile and web application that is used for an image recognition so you can find a photo by what is in it.
Search for contents: You can find any cat picture you have taken by simply searching “cat”.
Make GIFs: You can use Google Photo’s Assistant to create GIFs, collages, and interactive stories. It has an option of automatic grouping photos, or you can do it manually.
Tip: To make a GIF easily, take a burst shot with your phone camera, open Google Assistant, hit the + icon, choose the option “animation”, drag the burst shot and the GIF is done.

PicJoy (Free, iPhone)

Cloud synchronization: Yes
How it works: PicJoy tags your photos by time, day, weather, season, or holiday automatically.
Search your library: To find a picture you need, just filter your tags in a search bar. You can also look for photos using terms like “Summer”, “Night”, “Christmas”, etc.
Create stories: You can use this application as your personal photo diary and even write photo stories. This app allows to write narratives for the photos and the entries that appear on the “Stories” section.

Carousel by Dropbox (Free, iPhone, Android, Web)

Cloud synchronization: Yes
How it works: Literally, it allows you to go back in history with a swipe. You can see the collection of your photos from the old times.
But you can only browse: The user interface is adorable, but the problem is that you can only find the photos by a virtual timeline of them. There is no function of smart searching that allows you to filter the pictures by content or place, however, you can select photos by dates they were uploaded.
Dropbox features: The good thing is that Carousel gives you entrance to a chat room when you share your pictures with a friend. Due to the fact that this app is a Dropbox extension, you and your friends have to create an account on Dropbox service, and you will be able to share pictures using Dropbox links only.

Tidy (Free, iPhone, Android)

Cloud synchronization: No
How it works: If you take your time to sort photos into photo albums, you will love this app. It helps you to organize and sort your photos into albums, so they become tidier. So, if you find it stressful to look at the photos that are in a mess, you should try this app.
Search by tags: You can tag your pictures with filters. It is a great tool to organize your page with categories.
Nice features: There are some unique features in this app, including viewing types that are customizable (3-4 columns, collage), the ability to select multiple pictures, and a possibility to search for photos using a keyword.
