Lovely lake front, peaceful, quiet 5-bedroom 2.5-bathroom lodge and sprawling 4 acres. Meals are very good and will have your mouth watering upon arrival with the smell of Kevin's smoked brisket, homemade mashed potatoes, brisket gravy (OMGosh!), green beans, fresh green salad, dinner rolls, loads of ice tea and lemonade! Dessert could be homemade brownies or rhubarb crisp from our very own rhubarb with freshly whipped real cream! Breakfasts consist of quiche, pancakes, biscuits and gravy - OH MY! I promise the scale is for your luggage when you're ready to pack up, not for you! We can comfortably sleep up to 20 in the 5 guest rooms and have an overflow area if you go a few over that. All rooms are equipped with comfortable beds, lovely linens and towels, we have two king beds and twin over twin bunk beds.

You will also have access to limited wireless, canoe, pedal boat, floating dock, various yard games are also available and free parking. If your group is the whole family, family reunion, wedding event, guy's weekend away, girl's weekend out, Let’s Make It SPA Weekend, or corporate retreat, we have you covered. Exclusive use of the entire lodge and grounds for groups up to 20+ includes use of our pedal boat, canoe, floating dock and all onsite meals starting with dinner the night of your check in (depending when you check in). Backcountry Warriors now has KNOCKERBALL! Knockerball can be rented by the hour with 12 people playing/competing at a time.
Guests rooms and bathrooms are located in our walkout/daylight downstairs. You will even be able to pull up close to the door and unload without having to lug your things up and down the stairs! Common area access 24/7 equipped kitchenette: mini fridge, teakettle, hot plate, toaster and microwave (main dining area has coffee available). We do have some games, but if you have a favorite – bring that too! All meals are family style and located upstairs. The sunroom, deck and living room upstairs is a great place to relax or share your adventures of the day. We do not have alcohol to sell or otherwise distribute, however guests are welcome to bring their own. Quiet time begins at 10:00 PM every night.
My husband and I are quite active and love to enjoy the beautiful Alaskan outdoors, summer and winter. Snow machine rentals include your very own tour guide. Summer months and you want to go hiking, we can tell you where or plan the hike and guide you for an additional fee. Sight-seeing and just need to be pointed in the right direction? We can do that too! We know who to call and what to spend your time on if you are limited and want an action packed day. Events can be tailored to your needs, give us call and let us know what you’re looking for.
We are located on beautiful Crystal Lake with an astounding view of Sleep Lady. A short and beautiful 4-mile meandering drive off the highway. The setting is remote, very quiet, peaceful park like setting situated on 4 acres. This means you can have as much peace and quiet as you like. Quiet hours begin at 10:00 PM each night year round. Owners live onsite with small dogs.
There is no convenient public transit. Unless you are scheduling a full turn-key vacation package and tour guiding (contact owners for more details) you will need to rent a car from the airport. Onsite parking is available for NO additional charge.
We are centrally located to everything you’ll want to do in Alaska! On your way to Denali. Snow machining and the Iditarod trail are literally out the back door. Great ALL INCLUSIVE SNOW MACHINE packages are available for week long remote tours as well as weekend packages, just check out our website for additional information. Snow biking, cross-country skiing, hiking, you can ice fish or fly fish, read a book or enjoy a bonfire all from our backyard! Guided lake tours on our floating dock can be arranged for an additional fee. You can be as busy as a bee seeing everything there is to see here. The Reindeer Farm, Musk Ox Farm, Hatcher Pass and Independence Mine, and the Iditarod Headquarters, Talkeetna and Denali – phew! Or you can be hidden away from life as you know it - whichever you choose! Summer temps average 70*. Almost always will need to have additional layers close by. We are a remote location with limited grocery and dining options close by, owners live onsite.House Rules:We have house pets, therefore can not allow any other pets under any circumstances. Please no smoking in or around the buildings. ALL children under 18 MUST have parental supervision at ALL times on location. This property IS LAKESIDE, ALL children are the responsibility of their parents and MUST be closely supervised. Quiet time begins at 10:00 AM every night.
