Michael Wood is the Center Manager for NovaCare?s Willingboro clinic located at 220 Sunset Road. As an integral part of the NovaCare team, Michael provides day-to-day operations while he supervises and mentors the clinical staff with a focus on orthopedics. As a seasoned clinician, Michael treats a broad spectrum of orthopedic injuries and post-surgical intervention with a specialty in treating the injured athlete. During his years of patient care, Michael has had the opportunity to work with many elite athletes including the rehabilitation of several Nation basketball Association players and for all varsity sports teams of LaSalle University. He has also worked with the National Football League at the NFL Scouting Combine in Indianapolis, Indiana, performing screenings and Cybex tests for the players. A sports enthusiast, Michael especially enjoys treating knee, ankle and shoulder injuries where he has seen significant success.

Michael is a 2001 graduate of the University of the Sciences in Philadelphia where he earned his Masters in Physical Therapy. Complementing his clinical expertise, he has completed a number of continuing education courses including Biomechanics in Sports, Clinical Approach to Therapeutic Taping, Examination of Shoulder Pathologies and Evidence Based Exercise Prescription. In addition, Michael is certified in The Graston Technique, an advanced method of soft tissue mobilization to decrease pain and increase function. Also, he has been trained in Fusionetics, a Performance Health System designed to reduce injuries, decrease pain, optimize performance, and speed recovery.
