Find your bliss at Villa Moderna. Perched on a hillside in L.A.’s exclusive ‘Bird Streets’ neighborhood, the four-bedroom home pairs sleek modern architecture with vibrant furnishings and exotic accent pieces. Close to shopping, dining, entertainment and the beach, the villa makes it easy to explore the best of the city.
On sunny California days, step outside to the villa’s expansive terrace with plenty of lounge furniture and a saltwater pool. There’s an outdoor kitchenette with a barbecue and two outdoor dining areas, including one tucked away by the pool. In the evenings, soak in the hot tub while watching the city lights come on or set the mood with the indoor-outdoor sound system. You can even make your own music at the grand piano. Since this is L.A., there’s a media room, Apple TV and Wi-Fi for sharing photos of your trip.
When you step past the water feature to reach the home’s front entrance, you’ll know that Villa Moderna is just a little bit different. Its clean lines, walls of glass and white terrazzo floors stretching outside give the villa an indoor-outdoor vibe, though wood-paneled ceilings and a gold-trimmed fireplace in the great room keep it from feeling too cold or gallery-like. Tufted cream sectionals in the living and family rooms and white cross-legged dining chairs set a calm, monochromatic tone, while oversaturated rugs, pop art and vintage movie posters punch up the color. The fully equipped kitchen has two waterfall-style islands, one of which acts as a breakfast bar, and state-of-the-art appliances from Wolf, Miele and more.
Each of the four bedrooms at Villa Moderna has an en-suite bathroom. The master suite has a king bed, walk-in closet and a sitting area with a fireplace and TV. A second bedroom with a king bed has a separate lounge area with a twin daybed that can be turned into an additional bedroom if needed. The other two bedrooms each have a queen bed.
Plan to start your stay by flying to Los Angeles International Airport, about 14 miles from Villa Moderna. For shopping, dining, sightseeing and nightlife, head to the Sunset Strip, 2 miles away, Rodeo Drive, 3.5 miles away, The Grove, about 4 miles away, or Hollywood Boulevard, just under 5 miles away. Take the kids for a day of thrills at Universal Studios Hollywood, about 8 miles away, or fun in the sun at Santa Monica Beach, 12 miles away, or Venice Beach, just over 13 miles away.
