Restaurant Description
Cafe Med, located at 8615 Sunset Boulevard, opened in July of 1993 and was the new concept from the BICE Ristorante Group. Casual and inexpensive, the menu consists of BICE's famous pastas, entree sized salads, a selection of wood-fired oven pizza and an array of items from the grill, including pork chops, chicken and Firorentina steak. Overstuffed sandwiches compliment generously portioned desserts. A wine list from Italy and California presents the best in moderately priced selection and beer is available on tap. Additionally, Cafe Med offers a full bar. Cafe Med's interior features an open kitchen with a wood burning pizza oven from Italy and a Tuscan grill combined with bright colors, brass accents, wood and tile. Indoor seating is available for 60 and the covered outdoor patio seats another 50. Take out food is available, and there are a variety of special catering options. Hours of operation are Monday through Sunday, 11:30 a.m. to 11:30 p.m. The restaurant serves lunch and dinner. All major credit cards are accepted. Opened in July of 1993, this was the second Cafe Med to open in the United States, and is located at the intersection of Sunset Plaza Drive and Sunset Boulevard. Free parking is available in the rear of the restaurant.
