Dr James R Johnson was born and raised in Waukesha. He graduated from Kansas State University where he met his wife, Judy. After a post graduate internship at Colorado State University, they eventually found their way back to Waukesha.

Dr. Johnson has been the President of the Waukesha County Veterinary Medical Association. He also served on the Wisconsin Veterinary Examining Board as well as the State Grievance Committee and the Wisconsin Annual Convention Committee.

Dr Johnson enjoys all aspects of small animal veterinary medicine. He will take care of cats and dogs of course, as well as most any small mammal or birds. General dentistry and internal medicine and surgery occupy most of his days when he is working.

Out of the clinic, his time is taken up with his family, Judy and Rob and Diane, as well as Diva and Ike, brother and sister English Pointers and Magnolia, aka Kitty. He enjoys photography, gardening, fishing and working the dogs.
