Our home can also be rented for weddings, corporate retreats, and private parties for an additional cost. Big Lake Alaska is situated 55 minutes from downtown Anchorage and is one of the most popular summer and winter recreational destinations in the Anchorage vicinity. Have your flight seeing or fly-in fishing guide pick you up and drop you off right at our dock. We are right in the flight path of all Denali flight-seeing trips as well as fly-in fishing trips out of Anchorage and most operators know our house. Big Lake is the start of the historic Iron Dog snowmachine race as well as one of the historical starts of the Iditarod Sled-Dog race. A tour of the lake can be arranged on a 15 person pontoon party boat. Within this listing you will see photos of all rooms, including the 1000 sqft apartment over the 4 car garage that can be rented additionally for parties. We have a boat launch for your use as well as a double jet-ski dock and 5 boat dock that is also used for float plane pickups. Everyone enjoys the massive lakeside stone fire-pit.
