The premier brand Deutscher~Menzies conducted its first auction in April 1998. Founded by Rod Menzies and Chris Deutscher, Deutscher~Menzies' arrival on the local stage was perceived as a bold and brave step that would see them compete with a long established Australian art auction scene.
