Cynthia Arends , DVM - WADSWORTH, OH

Dr. Cynthia Arends is a 1999 graduate of the University of Tennessee and has been practicing in the Northeast Ohio area since her commencement. In 2004, she completed a 1-year rotating internship at the Metropolitan Veterinary Hospital in Copley, OH, where she met Dr. Dane, and then subsequently purchased the Wadsworth Veterinary Hospital. Dr. Arends is currently the Summit County Animal Shelter Veterinarian, and therefore dedicates the majority of her time, between 30-35 hours weekly, performing spays, neuters and physical examinations on abandoned or surrendered animals in the Summit County Animal Shelter. However, she is available for consultation with clinic cases should Dr. Dane be away from the office, or if there is a specific request for her services.

The Arends household is never boring, as they share their home with 4 dogs – 2 Labrador Retrievers “Eich” and “Bebe”, and 2 Shetland Sheepdogs “Liberty” and “Renegade”, as well as 4 cats “Timmy”, “Tommy”, “Tammy”, and “Simon”. All of their animals are rescues from various organizations.
