Caroline Garzotto, VMD, Dacvs - VOORHEES, NJ

Caroline Garzotto VMD, Dacvs is a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine class of 1996. Prior to veterinary school, she was a computer engineer working in Pittsburgh before she finally embarked on her dream to become a veterinarian. After graduation from Penn, her interest in small animal surgery led her to an internship in a private practice in Connecticut, followed by a three year residency in small animal surgery at Tufts University and The Angell Memorial Hospital in Boston. After the residency she returned to her home state of New Jersey and spent a year as a lecturer at The Matthew J. Ryan Veterinary Hospital at The University of Pennsylvania.
Dr. Garzotto became a Diplomate of The American College of Veterinary Surgeons in 2001 and began working at a specialty practice for a few years before going back to the University of Pennsylvania in 2004. She is now an Adjunct Assistant Professor of Surgery at Penn where she runs both Soft Tissue and Orthopedic clinics and teaches veterinary students, interns and residents. Her special areas of interest include oncologic surgery and wound management.
She lives with her family in Haddonfield (husband, two daughters, one dog and three cats). Her hobbies include fixing up her old house, gardening and walking the dog around town.
