For any guests (current or potential): the owner will allow you to change your dates if your travel plans are affected by the Coronavirus, without having to forfeit any fees or deposits.
The guest house is located on the quiet east side of Jost Van Dyke, overlooking many smaller islands and cays (Sandy Cay, Sandy Spit, Green Cay, Little Jost Van Dyke). Your arrival to the villa will ideally be via water taxi, or ferry followed by land taxi, and is the beginning of a memorable and relaxing vacation.
You will be met at the Sandy Ground dock by our caretaker, who will assist you with your luggage and provisions, and transport you the short drive up the hill to the house. From here you will encounter far reaching views, welcoming ocean breezes and a serene sense that all your troubles are all far behind you.
The two story guest unit contains 2 bedrooms each with en-suite, one upstairs and one downstairs. A living room upstairs with dining area, TV, DVD's, etc. Both bedrooms open up onto large wooden wrap-around decks with rocking chairs on which to take in the view. The living room opens up onto to the pool area with sun loungers and bbq and steps to the colorful brand new kitchen built in true Caribbean style with colorful wooden shutters. The kitchen is fully stocked with modern appliances.
A dinghy is available as a complementary service for those wishing to explore the surrounding islands and beaches. To access Great Harbor and White Bay please call a taxi to take you there. The mangroves in the bay are a wonderful, safe place to explore on a kayak (although still recovering after Irma). One can also kayak, hike or dinghy to nearby beaches and restaurants. A double kayak is available for our guests to enjoy.
Jost Van Dyke has its very own dive shop if you are an avid scuba diver, or looking to get certified. There are some great dive locations nearby.
The shallow 'flats' in the adjacent bay are considered a great place for fly fishing.
Provisioning needs to be done ahead of arrival. You should arrive with all your groceries. You can always get a few emergency supplies in Great Harbor.
