Villa Allamanda Estate, also known as MAT ALL, is a contemporary 4-bedroom villa located in East End/Beef Island within minutes of the beach and shopping. This hilltop villa, set amongst lush flowering gardens, served as the official residence of the British Virgin Islands' governor from 1998 to 2004.
Original artwork and potted plants enhance the décor. The tiled formal entry hall leads to a traditional drawing room, which is elegantly furnished with sink-into sofas and chairs, and to a large kitchen and formal dining room. The hallway also leads to 2 bedrooms and a sweeping native stone terrace framed by wide arches and tropical foliage.
Each bedroom has air-conditioning, satellite TV, and an ensuite bathroom. The spacious master bedroom has a king-size bed and Jacuzzi bathtub. The other bedroom on this level has twin beds that can be made into a king-size bed. The other 2 bedrooms with king-size beds are located in a guest pavilion adjacent to the pool veranda. Located off the pavilion hallway is a home office with a fax machine and desktop computer with Internet access.
A stone and tile terrace bordered with palms and island flora surrounds the large freeform pool and fountain. On one end of the pool terrace is a shady covered veranda furnished with cushioned wicker chairs and tables. This non-smoking house also has an automatic generator, cable TV, a highchair and crib, and a gas grill.
Guests receive a complimentary welcome dinner with wine on their first night and a continental breakfast the next morning. This villa requires a 7-night minimum stay during Thanksgiving (14 nights during the Christmas and New Year holidays) and a $500 security deposit.
Villa Allamanda Estate, or MAT ALL, comes with house cleaning services. Ask your villa specialist for detail. During the Thanksgiving and December holidays, the villa rents at full occupancy rates regardless of how many bedrooms are used. Photos compliments of Don Hebert.
