Is 0-60 in 8.2 seconds fast?

Now, I am sure there are some that would say "no," however... If you have an SUV or other unassuming vehicle that can do this, would that then lend creedence to you having a "fast" car?

Not in terms of a standing mile..
Not in terms of a quarter mile (or an eigth of a mile..)
Not in terms of top speed in a straight line (highest hp usually wins)

I'm talking about everyday driving, stop-light "races" where dude with a Camry can get the jump on "guy in a Jeep" and whoever is the fastest earns the cutting off... it has been said the fastest cars are made right now... what were the 0-60 times of exotic 90s supercars with big V-12 engines...
