What is RICS APC?

RICS APC is a challenging assessment to become an MRICS of the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors . The Assessment of Professional Competence is the final stage to progress in the Chartered Membership qualification. All candidates should go through the process which includes report submissions, CPD Hours records, case study, presentation and an interview with the RICS panel. Aiming to become a chartered member of the professional institute is not an easy path. A candidate must prepare for the journey with commitment and hard work. However, with the right guidance and support a candidate can pass the APC final interview and obtain the MRICS designation.

Routes to becoming an MRICS

There are two routes to progress to the RICS APC. The Structured Training route and the Preliminary Review route. An individual can approach an online coaching service provider accredited by RICS to prepare for the assessment. For example, the College of Contract Management offers the RICS APC Coaching Services through live online lectures and meetings. The college provides an MRICS counsellor and assists the candidates throughout the entire process. An individual can prepare for the interview with the mock interview conducted by the online college. There are also other options such as learning through the RICS APC prep day course led by professionals. An individual can also prepare for the RICS APC by getting training from the firm and the support of the employer.

RICS Standards

Apart from the standard qualifications and the services provided by RICS, the institute also aims to maintain a greener environment through its ethics and cultural values. The Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors maintains the standards of delivering qualifications professionally. The institute believes in developing and contributing to the environment and society. Building sustainable buildings and structures to create a healthy living environment will help improve the standard of living in an economy. RICS impacts the environment with the knowledge and skills necessary to conduct work in the sector. By acquiring better knowledge to improve the industry an individual benefits from many factors.
