These essays should not get emotive as the purpose is not to convince or influence, merely resent the facts.
• Persuasive essays: The antithesis of expository essays, these stick to one side of an argument, while presenting facts and truth, while trying to convince the reader to accept the writer’s point of view. Compare and contrast arguments and debates are good examples of these, as the writer will present alternative facts and figures and then make a recommendation based on his/her own analysis.
