This function is used to identify the kth largest value in a range of values. In executing this function, click on an empty cell in the worksheet. Type ‘=LARGE(’ and Select the range of data of your interest. Then enter the position identifier you want such as 3 indicating the 3rd largest number. Press Enter and the value returned will be the 3rd largest number. Example, =LARGE(B3, 3) will return the 3rd largest number in the array B3.
Small. =SMAL()
This function returns the kth smallest value in a range of numbers. Click on an empty cell. Type ‘=SMALL(‘ followed by selecting the range of data. Enter the position identifier. Press Enter and the kth smallest value . Example, =SMALL(B3:B15, 3)
