Dr. Ginger LaNye - TULSA, OK

Dr. Ginger LaNye joined the Best Friends staff in February 2011. She has worked in the Broken Arrow/Tulsa area since graduation from O.S.U. in 2002. Dr. LaNye was inspired to become a veterinarian after childhood visits to her grandparents. They cared for their own animals, and instilled in her a deep respect for all animals, including wildlife.

All animals deserve someone to be their champion, someone who can speak for them. She feels that is what she was born to do, to provide each and every patient the time and care to allow them the best quality of life and length of life that they deserve. She has raised orphaned squirrels and rabbits. Although her main interests lie with dogs and cats, she has treated some pocket pets, reptiles, and birds. She enjoys surgery, dentistry, and animal behavior. She is a current member of the AVMA.

She’s married to Ted LaNye, her high school sweetheart, and they have two boys both who are active in cub scouts and baseball. Dr LaNye's interests are reading and softball. She attended the Missouri Southern State College on a softball scholarship. She was inducted into the Broken Arrow High School Hall of Fame as well as the Missouri Southern State College Athletic Hall of Fame for softball.
