JOB CODE ID: 315
Job Start Month: February 15, 2010
Number of Positions: 3
Location(s): Gunsan or Kunsan
Gunsan is a mid-sized city on Korea's west coast of about 200,000. This is an excellent location for a teacher that is looking for a clean, quiet alternative to the bigger cities. Gunsan (also known as Kunsan) offers teachers the opportunity to experience authentic Korean culture, while offering convenient access to major urban centers via bus, and not far away is Iksan, and a KTX (high speed rail) station offering fast access to Seoul.
Gunsan is very famous for its fresh seafood. In Gunsan, there are many restaurants and bars, and a decent and active foreign community of native English speaking teachers at any given time (many of which are Footprints teachers). Teachers can pursue outdoor pursuits such as mountain biking, wind surfing, paragliding and scuba diving- and there are several boat tours available to view the Kogunsan Islands.
The school itself has been in business for many years, and we've had genuinely good feedback from teachers who have worked there in the past years.
