Sharon Grubb, MPT, DPT, Center Manager - THOROFARE, NJ

Sharon Grubb, MPT, DPT, is the Center Manager for NovaCare's Thorofare center, located at 935 Kings Highway. A seasoned clinician, Sharon considers herself a jack of all trades. She has seen great success in rehabilitating post-operative patients and has vast experience in the treatment of pediatric patients (infants to teens) and neurological rehabilitation. Sharon is an APTA certified Clinical Instructor.

Sharon earned her Bachelor's Degree in Psychology/Minor in Biology from West Chester University in 1991. She received her Master's Degree in Physical Therapy from Rutgers/UMDNJ in Camden, NJ in 1993. She went on to achieve her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Widener University in Chester, PA in 2004. Along with her extensive formal education, Sharon has complemented her clinical expertise with an impressive roster of continuing education courses on topics such as evidence-based practice of the lumbo-pelvic complex, principles of imaging and pharmacology for physical therapists, McKenzie mechanical diagnosis and therapy parts A and B, cervical spine mobilization and the treatment of cervicogenic headaches. Sharon is a published therapist, co-authoring an article entitled, Exercise and Post-Polio, A Review of the Literature. In addition, Sharon is certified in The Graston Technique, an advanced method of soft tissue mobilization to decrease pain and increase function.

Sharon's Vision...I believe that self-empowerment is an important part of the rehab process, patients need to know that they are active participants in the entire rehabilitation process. I want to make a positive difference in patients' lives by providing effective treatment and education in a setting that is enjoyable for both patients and staff.
