It's gotta be magical up on stage singing to a rapt audience who is swaying in time with the music. To hear your own voice resonate throughout a space and have it come back must be magic, too. Such is the primary joy of being a singer like Lauren Mitchell.

But then, there's that stuff like booking gigs, getting hotel rooms and paying the band. Then there are more mundane things like training and rehearsing and caring for your "instrument" (your voice) by avoiding germs and maintaining just the right humidity at night.
