The location

At 800 m altitude, about 500 m above Lake Geneva, is our family holiday home "Chalet Irma" on the edge of the wine village Jongny. From the chalet opens a magnificent view of Lake Geneva, the climate-friendly urban waterfront Montreux / Vevey, the Rhone Valley and the adjacent high mountain panorama of the Bernese / Savoy Alps with the Dents du Midi.

The 1.000 square meters large property across the slope in the highest buildable region of the Sous Mont (adjacent to the Mont Pelerin) is protected in the north by a tree-covered steep wall against the Biese. In the south, over 50m of terraced length offers unrestricted views.

The neighboring family houses, partly used as a main residence or as a holiday home, make for a very quiet environment.

Coming from the Route du Mont-Pelerin, the property can be reached at ground level via a residential road. The motorway exits to Basel, Geneva, Martigny and to the above mentioned shore region are less than 10 minutes by car.

The House,

built and furnished in the Swiss chalet style, has 110 square meters of interior space and 150 square meters of terraces.

The ground floor has a living and dining room, kitchen and guest toilet as well as an integrated laundry and oil heating area. Upstairs are 2 equal bedrooms with a continuous 8 m long south balcony furnished. A sloping little room is used by the children. Bathroom with tub (shower) and separate toilet complete the sleeping area pleasant, even for 4 people. Cable TV, radio and telephone provide the "connection to the world". There is a garage, a parking space and a separate tool shed in the architecturally landscaped garden. The outdoor dining area with garden furniture can be varied and used many days of the year. The sun-favored location allows the use of the garden chairs during all seasons.

Guests feel the conception of the house clearly and for tourists easy to understand. People who appreciate an aesthetic environment and a holiday away from mass tourism will feel at home here.

Located in Jongny, this vacation home is in the mountains and on a lake.
