Welcome to our little place in the sun. This home is in a quiet neighborhood, off the beaten path in the newer municipality of Surprise Az (approximately 45 minutes from Phoenix Sky Harbor airport). It is a lovely single family home with double attached front garage parking, and ample street parking. There is a 6 foot block fence in the back yard which provides a great deal of privacy. There are 3 community pools which are available to use from May through Sept. The closest of these is at the end of the block! Phoenix in general has a wonderful assortment of golf options and Surprise is no exception. There is a also a wonderful zoo 15 minutes away, and a superb hiking and mountain biking facility called White Tank Mountain park, about the same distance. Perhaps the biggest draw to Surprise is the Spring training baseball facility used by the Texas Rangers. Great entertainment at a low cost and only 5 minutes from the house. The house is set up as a traditional furnished bungalow of approximately 1100 sq. feet. The master bedroom has a queen bed, large double closet, and a 4 piece connected en-suite for your convenience. The second bedroom has a large closet as well as a queen bed. All windows have blinds and sun control panels on the outside. A heat pump system for A/C keeps the summer heat under control. Laundry washer and dryer are available to use. The kitchen is equipped with dishwasher, microwave, all dishes and cookware, refrigerator, stove, oven. The living room is equipped with 42 inch LCD TV, Cox Cable, and surround sound blue ray. The back yard is large private (as mentioned). It features a propane BBQ, fire pit, and a bistro table and chairs. These fixtures sit on a patio under a large overhang running the width of the house. This provides critical shade on those hot days. A gardener regularly attends to the grounds including shrubs, palm, etc, with a granite rock backdrop. Automated irrigation keeps all the plants healthy. I personally love to watch the sun set from the back yard over the distant mountains. Phoenix sunsets can be breathtaking. Surprise as a city is just large enough to have all the things one might need including restaurants, banks, coffee shops, grocery stores, and other shopping. This makes it practical to stay in the community and relax. That said, Phoenix metro has many other attractions that may be worth checking out. Phoenix metro has 5 million people and stretches a long way. I would advise anyone driving the city to get a GPS for their vehicle. Check out Old Town Scottsdale for some quaint shopping and history. Or perhaps Lake Pleasant which is just north of Phoenix. Perhaps you are interested in the internationally famous Barrett Jackson car auction in Scottsdale. One trip definitely worth making is to Sedona. Its just 3 hrs north of Phoenix and features unique red rock cliffs. Or perhaps the Grand Canyon. This spectacle is truly a must see. 4 hrs North of Phoenix. Wherever you might venture to, Im sure you will be as taken with the beautiful desert landscape, and easy going charm of Arizona. And having all the comforts of home while you stay, will help to make this a vacation worth remembering.
