David A. Hoyle, PT, MA - STORRS MANSFIELD, CT

David is a Physical Therapist for Select Physical Therapy's Storrs, CT outpatient physical therapy center. He has achieved success in the treatment of a wide range of orthopedic conditions from headaches and neck pain to plantarfascitis and numerous conditions in between. In addition to maintaining a clinical practice in Storrs, CT since 1997, he also holds national teaching responsibilities and manages the industrial product line for Select Physical Therapy's parent company, Select Medical. Dr. Hoyle is active in scholarly work and has published in several physical therapy journals.

Dr. Hoyle earned his BS with a major of Physical Therapy from the University of Connecticut in 1987. He then study Exercise Physiology and received an MA from the University of Connecticut in 1999. As the American Physical Therapy Association went to a vision of a doctoral profession for Physical Therapists, Dr. Hoyle embraced the vision and returned for a post entry Doctoral of Physical Therapy from Regis University in Denver, CO which he achieved in 2013. In addition to his academic degrees, Dr. Hoyle has been recognized as a Board Certified Specialist in Orthopedic Physical Therapy by the American Board of Physical Therapy Specialists since 1996, recertifying again, in 2006. He also has been recognized as a specialist in Manual Therapy, receiving a Certification in Manual Therapy from the University of St. Augustine in St. Augustine, FL in 1994. He has completed hundreds of hours continuing education courses both as a student and an instructor including:

* The treatment of neck pain, an evidence informed approach.
* The treatment of back pain, an evidence informed approach.
* Muscle Energy of the lumbar spine and pelvis.
* Orthotic intervention for lower extremity dysfunction.
* Treatment of the Multi-event athlete.
