In 1990 Short Moves was started by George Burns, a professional mover that was frustrated with the way the moving industry cheated their customers. Some companies are not upfront about charges, giving low estimates to get more work, and using inexperienced temp-labor to move their customers, then doing nothing about damages. Not the way George wanted to do things. We are truly a business built on repeat and referral customers by doing things right. We want to do a good enough job that you'll tell your friends and neighbors about us, and if you'll ever have the need for a mover again, you'd call us first! We never overbook our schedule, and have never missed a commitment. Our movers are all full-time employees, and we come prepared to make your move day a breeze! We can accomplish short local moves and some long distance moves within Florida. Services we provide include: Packing and unpacking boxes, dis-assembly and re-assembly of household furniture, loading and unloading service for your own trucks or shipping containers. In 2010 we started our own consignment service. If you are getting rid of things while you move, we can help sell it for you. Ask us about Consignment House!!
