Our home was completely renovated in 2015, and it is located in one of South Haven's most desirable neighborhoods for vacation rentals.
This immaculate, 3 bedroom, 3.5 bathroom home features new stainless steel appliances, granite counters in the kitchen and bathrooms, hardwood floors throughout the upstairs, carpet in the basement, and a new washer and dryer for you to use, free of charge. The house also has central air-conditioning, ceiling fans in the bedrooms, and free wifi and cable tv.
There are 2 bedrooms and 2.5 bathrooms upstairs, and one bedroom and 1 full bathroom in the basement. All 3 bedrooms have a queen bed, and master bedroom has its own ensuite bathroom. There is also a full-size sofa sleeper in the basement, so our house can accommodate 8 people.
The basement also includes a ping pong table and a bar area, perfect for playing the board games or putting together the puzzles we provide. This is a great comfortable, cool space for both sleeping and hanging out in the summer.
In addition to the beautiful, enclosed sun room off the back of the house, there is also a large deck in the back yard where you'll find a new stainless gas grill with extra tank so you won't run out in the middle of cooking. Both the deck and the sun room provide great spaces for relaxing with family and friends.
We want you to feel at home in our home, so in addition to the basics like plenty of dishes, silverware, towels, etc. for a large group, we've also included the little things to make your stay more comfortable: a hand mixer, muffin tins, cookie sheets, cake pans and pizza pans, a coffee maker and coffee grinder, a corkscrew, hair dryers in each bathroom, an iron and ironing board, clothes hangers, games and puzzles, plastic dishes and containers so you can pack your lunch, a small cooler, beach toys, 6 portable beach chairs and a wagon to carry it all when you go to the beach.
Our house is just one block from Lake Michigan and just 3 blocks to the stairs to the beach. It's an easy 7-10 minute walk to the beach (Plenty of parking is available along the beach if you prefer to drive.) Kids' Corner Park is one block away, about a 3 minute walk.
After parking your car in the driveway or on the street in front of the house, you can enjoy walking just 10-15 minutes to downtown restaurants, shopping and the movie theater. After dinner, take a stroll on the pier as you watch the sunset on beautiful Lake Michigan. The beach also includes new playground equipment so the kids can play while you relax on the beach. Nearby Kal Haven Trail provides an excellent place for bike riding.
This house is on a nice, quiet tree-lined street with great neighbors. It's the perfect setting because you are away from the hustle and bustle of downtown, but all of the popular sights and activities are within walking distance. South Haven is a great vacation spot for all ages because there's something to do for everyone. Because it's a small town, teenagers can walk to nearby attractions instead of asking to borrow the car, and there are great places to take the little ones for a ride in a stroller or on a bike.
