Welcome to our family's vacation retreat! This home is currently being updated with new floors, paint, kitchen cabinets and granite counters. It will be fully completed in May. Pictures will be updated soon to reflect the changes. We trust that our guests will treat our home with the care and concern as if it were their own. We aim to provide our guests with a comfortable and relaxing stay and a desire to return!
People often want to know what our favorite time of year to be in Central Oregon is. Can I answer EVERY day? Because every season offers something unique and wonderful. The summers are hot and dry, making the pool that much more inviting. Sisters has its Rodeo in early June, its Quilt Show in July, art shows and festivals throughout the summer and fall, followed by the Harvest Faire and Holiday Parades. Before you know it, it's January and that means SNOW and lots of it! Along with gorgeous scenery come opportunities for skiing, sledding, snowshoeing, snowmobiling and more. Sisters has a strong local community that organizes concerts and benefits throughout the year, featuring well known artists and performers.
We love to shop in downtown Sisters. Christmas shopping, Ray's grocery store that seems to have everything, including a wonderful selection of craft beers, DVD rentals, gourmet items for wonderful meals; antiquing, new and used books. Speaking of books, the outstanding Paulina Springs Bookstore is about as good as it gets. Readers appreciate the staff recommendations and will find books that speak to their hearts and feed their souls. Across the street is our fabulous Sisters Coffee Company. Enter and take it all in, the aromas of coffee and baked goods, the enormous log construction, friendly baristas, inviting fire in the fireplace and comfortable furniture that invites you to sink in for hours.
You can't visit without seeing a movie at the charming Sisters Movie House. You will love it! It's our favorite place to see both first run films as well as independent films that appeal to the discerning folks that live and visit here. Even the popcorn, snacks and beer sold here are good. Come early to browse the art, quilts and sculptures in the lobby.
