Desmopressin

Desmopressin (trade names DDAVP, DesmoMelt, Minirin) is a synthetic replacement for vasopressin, the hormone that reduces urine production. Apart from its increasing effect on water resorption by the kidneys, it raises plasma levels of von Willebrand factor and factor VIII.
