Dr. Danna Torre is a Diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Emergency and Critical Care. She graduated from Tufts University, Cummings School of Veterinary Medicine in 2001. After graduating she spent one year at Red Bank Veterinary Referral and Emergency Center in Red Bank, New Jersey doing small animal medicine and surgery internship. After completing the internship she worked there as an emergency veterinarian. From January 2004 to July 2004 she helped to manage Red Bank's satellite emergency facility '" South Jersey Veterinary Emergency Center. Between July 2004 and July 2007 she completed a residency in emergency and critical care at the Cummings School of Veterinary Medicine at Tufts University. She has published and performed research in the areas of hyperglycemia in critical illness, the use of hemodialysis and positive pressure ventilation due to baclofen toxicity, and glucose abnormalities during sepsis. Her interests include sepsis, endocrine abnormalities during sepsis, positive pressure ventilation, and emergency surgery. In her spare time she enjoys spending time with family, friends, and pets.
