The Ockenden neighborhood boasts beautiful green belts and hiking trails (some right out our back door!). Please keep all pets leashed and clean up after them.Guests have access to the entire cabin, deck space, driveway and street parking (street parking not available in winter months), WiFi, fresh linens and towels, fully stocked kitchen, washer and dryer, cleaning supplies, and yard space around the cabin. Guests may use their own streaming sites to watch TV or use a provided Netflix account.

The same beautiful and cozy Red Door Retreat is under new management! We are available for your next mountain getaway! This cozy mountain cabin includes a warm pellet stove for the chilly winter nights, and large living room windows to enjoy the view. Featuring two private bedrooms and a loft bedroom area with room dividers provides plenty of sleeping arrangements to accommodate the whole family!

The fully stocked kitchen includes everything you may need to cook meals, as well as seating at the kitchen island and the dining room table. Kitchen gadgets include InstantPot, griddle, blender, toaster, crockpot, air fryer, and coffee pots. The living room has comfy couches with recliners, a pellet stove, a cabinet full of games, and a coffee table that lifts up to a work space. The Smart TV has access to all of your favorite streaming services. The Alexa and WiFi capabilities are a modern touch for your convenience! Parking is available in the driveway or along the street. During the winter months, parking along the street is not available due to snow removal. There is also an indoor laundry room with a washer and dryer and all cleaning supplies available.

This cabin features plenty of room for a large family or a group of families. There is one private bedroom on the main floor with a queen bed and a twin over full bunk bed with room for a provided queen air mattress. A second private bedroom is upstairs with a queen bed and room for a provided twin air mattress. The lofted bedroom area includes a day bed with trundle and room dividers for privacy. The loft also has a futon and couch, and plenty of room for a provided queen air mattress. The loft area includes a kitchenette space with a mini fridge and sink, with cabinets full of games and toys for the little ones! This is the perfect spot for kids or teens to hang out!

The outdoor area includes the front deck patio with multiple seating options, including a dining table that seats 6. Around the back of the deck there is shaded bar seating to enjoy the beautiful views and maybe catch a glimpse of local wildlife including deer, squirrels, and birds! Follow the path back to additional chairs with a fire pit (perfect for roasting marshmallows!), picnic tables, or enjoy a peaceful nap under the trees in the provided hammocks or covered bench swing. AT THIS TIME THERE ARE NO OUTDOOR WOOD FIRES ALLOWED IN THE NEIGHBORHOOD.Enjoy the outdoor corn hole and ring toss, or hike the trail off the back of the deck and see where it leads!

Located in Shaver Lake, this cabin is in the mountains. Sierra Marina and China Peak Mountain Resort are worth checking out if an activity is on the agenda, while those wishing to experience the area's natural beauty can explore Sierra National Forest and Shaver Lake. Be sure to check out the area's animals with activities such as game walks and birdwatching.
