The Atmosphere: Kind of like Rocky Point and San Felipe only you don't have to buy Mexican insurance and spend hours to drive there. There's old rustic wood and corrugated tin on the walls, a deep-sea mural and nautical bric-a-brac inside, plus ample big and flat screen TV's to watch all the games! The stage is the center of attention, and animal-print tables surround it. A big cabana-style patio provides overflow seating with a real good misting system - Great for you smokers, and you can still hear the music. Two pool tables in the back only charge 75 cents per game. The Food: Yummy and very, very inexpensive Baja-style cuisine. The Crowd: 20s, 30s and some 40s casually dressed, drinking Smirnoff Ice, Corona, Rum and Coke and Bud Light. The Staff: Adorable and friendly Drink specials: Announced regularly by the bands. For example, during Margaritaville, margaritas may be half price. Pabst Blue Ribbon always $2. Owner Flicka Alvarado (a great guy to talk to and usually there) says "This ain't just driftwood" about the wood that lines the interior walls - it is the same wood that was used to build the first legal brothel in Arizona. Live Music: Starts at 9:30 p.m. Thursday nights, T.A.T.E.; Friday nights, hip-hop/disco band Wonderbread; Saturday nights, rotation of North, Four Turns Left and LMNOP, featuring Amanda Starr.
