Our 1887 split-level Victorian home is located in the heart of San Francisco on a quiet street lined with late, 19th-century Victorian row houses. We are just two blocks from historic Golden Gate park and just half a block from stunning St. Ignatius cathedral on the University of San Francisco campus, established 1855.
Our large eat-in, French country kitchen is south-facing and opens up onto the garden making for a very light and airy space that is full of charm! The front of the house features a double living room where you can sit by the fire, play piano, or treat yourself to a movie from our in-house or on-demand movie library all while taking in the spectacular and inspirational ocean view from our perch on Lone Mountain - one of the oldest neighborhoods in San Francisco.There is also a large selection of Wii games for you or your children to enjoy.
The first floor master bedroom boasts a queen bed and is tastefully appointed with Asian art and furniture. The main bathroom is adjacent to this bedroom. The top floor has two bedrooms, one with an ocean view and a double sofa bed while the second room has bunk beds with a queen on the bottom and twin on top. There is a small bathroom and shower on this level.
Our lovely private backyard, is equipped with a gas heater and grill and has teak patio furniture that seats six.
Our home is two blocks away from world-famous, Golden Gate park with its newly-renovated, state-of-the-art Academy of Sciences museum/aquarium, the prize-winning architects' Herzog and DeMeuron newly-renovated De Young museum, the botanical gardens, the conservatory of flowers and the lovely Japanese tea gardens as well as the legendary Haight Ashbury district. There are three major bus lines within one block which will take you to the Pacific ocean, the city center, the Powell/Market street cable car lines, and the trendy Hayes valley district.
The city rivals New York for its fine dining and night life including multiple theaters, concert and sports venues, museums, childrens' attractions, hiking and biking, surfing, fishing, kayaking shopping and so much more.
