Shah Plastic Surgery

Dr. Shah completed an internship in General Surgery, and then a residency in Head and Neck Surgery, at Wayne State University in Detroit, Michigan. Subsequently, he was one of 38 individuals in the United States selected for advanced Fellowship training in Facial Plastic Surgery, which he completed at the Medical College of Virginia. Dr. Shah is board-certified by the American Board of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery as well as the American Board of Head and Neck Surgery and Otolaryngology.In addition to maintaining a thriving San Antonio private practice, Dr. Shah is an educator and devoted to furthering the field of aesthetic facial surgery. After completing his fellowship in 2009, he was appointed a member of the faculty at the University of Texas Health Science Center San Antonio. His current appointment is Assistant Clinical Professor in the Division of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at UTHSCSA. As such, he is responsible for teaching young plastic surgeons the science and art of facial plastic surgery. He is the author of several published articles.Finally, Dr. Shah is committed to philanthropy. Dr. Shah has been sponsored by Operation Smile to travel to India and participate in cleft lip and palate surgery on needy individuals. He considers this as perhaps the most rewarding and humbling experience of his career.
