2015 San Antonio LoopFest

The San Antonio LoopFest is back for another season! The greatest, most creative musical event you've never heard of is presenting a showcase of music and technology at the 1906 Gallery, 1906 S Flores, San Antonio, TX, starting at 5pm. www.sanantonioloopfest.com Admission is by donation.

For those of you wondering what is a “LoopFest?” It is a showcase of
music and technology performance artists. These artists use hardware
and/or software technologies to instantly record and play back sound. It is a diverse, creative, innovative, and fascinating display of talent, science, and art. Looping has been around for decades in academia, avant-garde, and incorporates new technologies into making sound.

All of the artists are highly talented, highly creative, highly
interesting, and amazingly in technologies and styles. Some are noise, some use traditional song forms, some are ambient, some are powerful, some are subtle. This year the fest features a host of Texas talent with a few national acts from Vegas, New York City, and San Francisco performing a variety of music with an incredible amount of cool technology.

Notable Performers –

Aldo Caldo out of Austin, TX. Aldo has performed with Menudo, Los Kumbia Kings, Ozomatli, and is the Chair of Apple Inc Hispanic
Association in Austin, TX. His one-man bass looping show is part
performance, part comedy routine. He is fun, entertaining, and
uplifting for the whole family. His unique approach to his performance is infused with his Hispanic culture. You can see more

Noah Peterson out of San Antonio, TX. Noah is the producer of live looping festivals in Austin, San Antonio, Denver, Colorado Springs, Seattle, Portland, Lincoln City, and Long Beach. He tours his Solo Sax Sessions across the country performing his upbeat music. He runs a weekly showcase of electronic and looping music in San Antonio at J&O’s Cantina.
