This beautiful private home is located on peaceful, residential Vina del Mar key, just over the picturesque bridge from historic Pass-a-Grille. The key is narrow, two blocks wide at the most. Our home is in the center of the key, facing a quiet shady park that includes a fenced playground, basketball courts, and tennis courts. Stroll with your morning coffee for fifteen minutes and you will be among the dunes of beautiful Pass-a-Grille Beach, facing the azure waters of the Gulf of Mexico. Walk the beach, do some shelling, buy a paper, pick up excellent meat, fish and wine at Shaner’s market at the end of the bridge, and head back to your own private oasis.
At home the glass wall between the living room and the lanai rolls back to let the outdoors in. The aqua pool and screened lanai, surrounded by greenery, become a part of the great room. The spacious house interior has been recently redecorated, and features floors of polished hardwood and tile. The kitchen is fully equipped with stainless steel appliances including refrigerator with ice maker, glass top stove, microwave, dishwasher, and disposal. The home features ceiling fans and central air conditioning. There is weekly pool service, lawn service as necessary, and a sprinkler system. The master bedroom with attached bathroom w/shower has a queen-sized bed. The second bedroom is equipped with two twin beds. The third bedroom also is equipped with two twin beds as well. There is High Speed Internet with Wi-Fi throughout. The main bathroom opens onto the pool, and provides excellent changing space for guests and wet swimmers. The pool is equipped with a heater for your use. The laundry room is off the main house near the pool.
While restaurants, beaches, and shopping are just a short walk from home, the charming trolley is available for further exploration of St. Pete Beach. By car, Fort De Soto Beach - consistently named the most beautiful beach in America - is a fifteen-minute drive. Tampa International Airport is 30 minutes, Busch gardens 40 minutes, and Orlando’s Disney World is an easy 90 minutes away by Interstate. Spring training camps abound, the New York Yankees are in Tampa 20 minutes away. Pass-a-Grille is an historically protected area harkening back to the 1920’s. Enjoy its elegant homes and appreciate the height restrictions due to its historic status - no new buildings over 3 stories high! Fishing is free at the Pass-a-Grille pier, and local fishing and sailing charter services abound. All of this makes it a most unique and delightful Florida experience - you’ll love it!
