David W. Wetherill, DVM - SAINT PAUL, MN

Meet Dr. David Wetherill, D.V.M. He is the proud owner and founder of Como Park Animal Hospital & Laser Surgery Center. Dr. Wetherill established his clinic in 1982 with a strong commitment to high quality small animal medicine. He specializes in canine and feline medicine, with medical services also available for exotic species, including birds, rabbits, ferrets, guinea pigs, hamsters, mice, rats, reptiles, etc!
After attending primary and secondary schools throughout Michigan, Illinois, and Iowa, Dr. Wetherill earned his undergraduate degrees from Macalester College in Saint Paul, MN. He completed a Bachelor of Science in Biology and Psychology, as well as earning a Teaching Certificate in Secondary Education. Dr. Wetherill then earned his Veterinary doctorate in 1980 from the University of Minnesota.
Dr. Wetherill is a member of AVMA, MVMV, AAV, AAHA, and VMA. His special interests have been avian and exotic species while maintaining his strong focus on dogs and cats as companion animals. He is a former board member of the Animal Emergency Clinics, Macalester College IACUC, St. Thomas University IACUC, and a consulting veterinarian for St. Thomas University, assuring humane care and use of laboratory animals.
Dr. Wetherill's hobbies include fishing, boating, building construction and repairs, and many opportunities to help others.
