Dr. James Burns - ROCKVILLE, MD

Jim Burns, DVM, attended Cornell University and the University of Maryland graduating with a Bachelor of Science Degree from the College of Agriculture. He graduated from the University of Georgia with a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine.
He was previously co-owner of Four Corners Animal Hospital in Silver Spring, Maryland. In 1984 he became the founding owner of Flower Valley Veterinary Clinic when he opened up the Clinic in the basement of his house.
He enjoys having cutting edge equipment, being the first Veterinarian in Montgomery County to own and use a Surgical Laser. He has a special interest in the uses of the Therapy Laser for pain and healing.
He is a native of Staten Island, NY. After a stint in the military he worked for the government in Washington, DC. After meeting and marrying a native beauty, Judy, he made his permanent residence in Maryland. He has 5 grown children and 13 grandchildren and currently has a miniature dachshund Heidi and a very independent cat Millie. He enjoys telling jokes, working out, scuba diving, travel and anything adventurous.
