Fineline Fishing Charters

Captain Jim Ross has been a United States Coast Guard licensed captain and owner of Fineline Fishing Charters based out of Rockledge, Florida just west of Cocoa Beach for over 20 years. Jim is a second generation native and full-time fishing guide who is on the productive waters of East Central Florida near Orlando roughly 250 days a year. Captain Jim’s understanding of the feeding habits and migratory patterns of the fish he pursues in the Mosquito Lagoon, Indian River, and other surrounding waters throughout the year has made him one of the most respected fishing guides in Florida.
Following in the footsteps of his father, captain Justin Ross has an incredible passion for fishing and the outdoors. Before earning his United States Coast Guard Captains license in early 2018 and running charter customers of his own, Justin received valuable training and experience accompanying his father on charters. As Jim’s “first mate” Justin got to see how to make decisions on where to go, what to use, and how to approach schools of fish from a veteran of the sport. Not to mention that Justin has lived his whole life receiving on-the-water training during hundreds of Ross family fishing excursions. This real-world experience is reflected in Captain Justin’s abilities to teach clients how to become better anglers, not just that he can put them on the fish. He recognizes each anglers strengths and weaknesses and works with them to put them into fish catching situations.
