Restaurant Description
Lobster Roll "Northside" sits at the head of a beautifully restored retail barn complex (Baiting Hollow Commons) on a picturesque country road (Sound Avenue) just North of the town of Riverhead, New York. "Northside" represents the rural version of the famed Hampton¦s Seasider (The Lobster Roll a/k/a LUNCH in Amagansett, New York) This second endeavor by Lobster Roll originator Frederick Terry is operated by his eldest son "Rick" and is acclaimed for fabulous steak and extensive seafood and sandwich offerings, moderate prices and friendly service. This is all presented in a 100 year old farmhouse complete with indoor and patio dining on expansive porches, cozy eat-in taproom with full bar, carry out center, and kids menu. Toddlers can enjoy the pedal tractor playgound while parents enjoy cocktails on the deck or stroll along the connected decks to the adjacent shops. Live music is featured on weekends. The attached Baiting Hollow Commons Retail Marketplace features a popular Gingerbread House Decorating Center, A Teddy Bear Factory, Stained Glass Emporium, and Antique, Gift, & Loungewear Shops.
