Sylvia was raised in Chicago, IL, and moved to southern Arizona shortly after graduating from Robert Morris University. She instantly fell in love with the beautiful weather and gorgeous desert landscape views. Since then Sylvia has established a strong connection and involvement within the community and is proud to call Rio Rico home. Sylvia proudly served her community for two decades as a public servant in law enforcement as an emergency 911 dispatcher for police, fire and medical at the Nogales Police Department and the Santa Cruz County Sheriff's Office all while raising four children. Sylvia was at the top of her class and was awarded the Academic Achievement Award for maintaining a perfect score at the Western Arizona Law Enforcement Training Academy in Lake Havasu, AZ, representing the Santa Cruz County Sheriff's Office.
