Dr. Gerow (previously Thornburg) attended Berry College in Rome, Georgia, and in 2002, she earned her Bachelor of Science degree (BS) in Animal Science and Chemistry. In 2006 she earned her DVM degree at the University of Georgia.

Dr. Gerow enjoys spending her free time with her Catahoula Leopard Dog, Kona, as well as hiking and running.
