We have also developed a safe space / classroom lockdown mortise lock with a visual lockdown indicator using market available locking hardware and NSD developed unique enhancement features to achieve the desired lockdown function. With the addition of another NSD developed lock conversion modification; this safe space lock can be made to function with an electronic access controlled lockdown system featuring the mechanical redundancy for the lockdown condition.
