Restaurant Description
The restaurant is small and cozy but decorated beautifully. The bread was really good. the owner was so, so helpful. He's a chef and when I told him that I was vegan he was more than happy to be of service to my needs. My dad got the minestrone. It happened to be vegan as well, and delicious. Very fresh vegetables. Spinach, big carrot chunks, celery. None of the veggies were soggy; they had the perfect balance of crunch and softness. Our meals came quickly. I got the alla lisa with no chicken. It was angel hair pasta with sun-dried tomatoes, pine nuts, kalamata olives and artichoke hearts... WOW! It was amazing! I was planning on boxing up half for lunch tomorrow but I couldn't stop eating. My brother ate all of his sausage lasagne and loved it. My dad had a penne pasta with sausage and arriabata sauce, I think. He was going to save leftovers but met the same problem I did. The owner, Dan Johns, gave my dad and brother free tiramisu and I got sugared strawberries with orange zest. mmmmmmmmmmmm. he said anytime i want to come back he'll make me a vegan specialty. Super, super sweet guy. I told him about how I found the restaurant on yelp and gave him the web address. So if you're reading this, thank you for a fantastic dining experience, I'll be back soon for sure! Oh, and my dad spaced out on his tip math so the tip was a lot less than we were planning on giving you. Next time we'll definitely make up for that.
